Boral is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to join our National Asphalt division. Reporting directly to the National Sales & Tecnical Manager, you will have a direct role in influencing the ever-growing Boral Asphalt business across VIC, SA &WA. 

For this strategic role, we are seeking an industry experienced, results-oriented professional to work in expanding our already highly-regarded Asphalt business. Based in Melbourne, you will be responsible for the sales and successful delivery of our products and contracting services within our existing markets and the identification and development of new opportunities within our industry.  

Your day will involve: 

• Building and maintaining strategic customer relationships with Tier 1 & Tier 2 Contractors
• Engage with State Road Authority, Toll Road Owners, Airport Owners etc 
• Represent Boral at industry seminars, events and briefings 
• Preparing tender submissions, including managing various Boral product submissions 
• Managing contractual aspects of tenders and price submissions to ensure risk is mitigated and opportunities identified, including identifying alternative proposal opportunities in tenders 
• Undertaking market intelligence on customers, competitors and industry 

What we are looking for: 

• Extensive experience within the Civil industry (Asphalt a bonus) in operations, sales and customer relationships 
• Exposure to industry market segmentation and reporting outcomes 
• Comfortable working in a team environment 
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and strong emotional intelligence 
• Excellent negotiation skills and ability to assess contractual risks
