Are you ready to lead and make a significant impact in quarry operations? Join our dynamic team at our Lysterfield Quarry and tackle exciting challenges head-on! Reporting directly to the Quarry Manager, you’ll be responsible for the daily management of our quarry operations, ensuring safety, production targets, and continuous improvement.
Your day will involve:
- Lead Safety and Environmental Compliance: Drive our ZERO HARM goal by championing safety and best practices in every activity.
- Run Operations with Excellence: Collaborate with the Quarry Manager to ensure seamless daily operations.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Inspire and manage site activities, guiding your team to success.
- Manage Contractors and Employees: Ensure compliance with legislation and implement best practices effectively.
- Conduct Inspections: Carry out inspections and report outcomes to ensure all fixed and mobile plant maintenance is top-notch.
- Manage Stock Inventory: Oversee stock levels with precision to maintain efficiency.
- Promote LEAN Activities: Initiate and facilitate LEAN practices to enhance productivity and workflow.
What are we looking for?
- Proven Leadership Skills: Thrive on motivating and organising production teams, with a strong background in quarry or mining operations.
- Technical Expertise: Demonstrated experience in hard rock quarry operations, including crushing, screening, and load & haul processes.
- Exceptional Communicator: Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders at all levels.
- Organizational Wizard: Excellent planning skills, able to drive results while juggling competing deadlines.
- Proactive Problem-Solver: Utilise your initiative and management skills to identify and tackle issues as they arise.
